MAIN AWARD: $10,000 Southern Ocean Art Prize

This award is an open category, encouraging artists to submit works across any medium. This includes paintings, sculpture, works on paper, textiles, digital art, photography etc.

All awards are non-acquisitive.

KEY DATES:

Entries open: 15 March 2026

Entries close: 15 August 2026 (5pm ACST)

Finalists notified: by 28 September 2026

Artwork delivery (finalists): 26–28 October 2026

Opening night: 30 October 2026

Exhibition at the Robe Institute: 31 October – 8 November 2026 (closing 2pm)

Collection of works (if not sold): 8 November 2026 after 2pm

Karatta Wines extended exhibition of selected works: 9 November - 29 November

Collection of Artwork: Karatta Wines will communicate directly with artists regarding the return of any unsold artworks.
